Cut to the Chase: Sounds good, smells good.
Purity Ring is one of those artists that once you listen to one part of the album, you will listen to that specific part of the album in a row every time you listen to them. For me, there was a good chunk of their album Shrines that I would listen to, from “Belispeak” to “Loftcries,” with “Loftcries bringing an amazing conclusion to my listening. The play on altering voice to become a beat throughout this entire album is astounding and unique, and if you weren’t paying attention too hard you would barely notice. Give this duo a listen and let the world know what you think. I’m sure a song off their second album will be on this blog soon enough!
